1978 Moto Guzzi Le Mans Mk1

This 1978 first production Moto Guzzi Le Mans Mk 1 was on display in a private museum for more than 35 years. With engine number commencing VF153**, this beautiful bike has travelled only 9,800 km and is today no longer ridden. As all Guzzi enthusiasts would confirm, bikes of this amazing condition and originality, including original paint, are extremely rare and hard to locate.

The present owner acquired the bike approximately 6 years ago, prepared it for road use, fitted new Continental Attack tires that have travelled only 150-200km. Also fitted was a new Mistral full racing exhaust system and Monoposto seat base. Both original items remain with the bike.

To improve ergo the owner replaced the handlebar controls with the more comfortable Mk2 series bars, and again the originals are included. This bike is reported as being perfectly ready to ride and is sold with both genuine keys, original manuals, owner’s documents, some invoices and some spare parts, etc. The advertised price includes shipping and GST but is subject to exchange rate conditions noted below and cost of crating & delivery to port of departure.
